From the 17th century well into the 19th century, French people had a prominent role in the history of Wisconsin (whether as French, French-Canadian, Creole, or Métis ).  My interests are in the research, recreation, reenacting, and teaching of this overlooked part of Wisconsin History.  This site has been established in an effort to share what it is that I do in this reconstruction.
