For Sale

Occasionally I have used items that I am no longer in need of, something I have made for fun or challenge that I don’t actually need, or something that Hilary knit that is not claimed by someone.  These items will be offered on this page for sale.  For more information, inquiries, or custom work… email me.  IsaacWalters(at symbol)gmail.com

In the past I have made centerseam moccasins of braintan (see below image) for $90 (and shipping). These are some of the most simple and common moccasins east of the Mississippi during the 17th-19th centuries. Cuffs may be integral (attached as part of the bottom’s leather) or may be sewn on separate depending on hide availability and size. If you have a preference, let me know and I can see what I can do.  CURRENTLY, I AM RETIRED FROM MOCCASIN MAKING.

Additional items (all prices for pair): Ribbon cuff trim $30; additional strip of ribbon (cut or not) $15; Bead cuff edging $40; bead on toe or cuff $5 per area; tin cone with hair or yarn $2.50/cone; quillwork – custom pricing.

DISCLAIMER: Since these will be made from foot-tracings and basic measurement, I cannot guarantee a PERFECT fit. Also, due to the nature of hide, use, etc.; these MAY stretch some with use in wet and muddy weather. These are basic leather mocs as are very historically correct but were not a durable good. These will act like the real deal.

I am also now offering services, painting bison (or other hide) robes.   I have now done a couple of these for myself and one for someone else.  I paint them using hide glue and natural pigments (ochre, vermillion, verdigris, soot, etc.).  Price will depend on size, amount of painting, pattern, and complexity.
